To reach it in the cooler hours, you will leave Berat at 8:30 am and arrive in Lumas after half an hour's journey. The Lumas region is rich in spring waters, myths, legends and ruins of ancient civilizations, so you won't be bored!

Natural pools and Sineci canyon

Parking our means of transport in Lumas, you will leave behind the houses located at the edge of the forest, and in a few minutes walk on foot with fantastic natural beauty, you will reach the area of ​​the Sineci canyons. Here everyone has the opportunity to choose what they prefer to do. To relax and refresh yourself there in the natural swimming pool of Sineci, whose crystal clear water comes from an underground source. Furthermore, in the Sineci area there are some small inns where you can eat. For hiking lovers, however, you are only spoiled for choices. You can proceed along the course of the river and admire the canyon, with its wonderful rocky concretions shaped by water over millions of years.

The Dragon's cave

By crossing forests and subsequent water sources you can reach the mysterious dragon quarry. A dark cave, on whose walls you can see the remains of drawings and frescoes.

For some time in Lumas, grandparents have told grandchildren about the story of the dragon that lived in the caves on top of the mountain. Not far from his cave men had founded a small village, the village of Katund. But the dragon one day got angry with the men, burned their village and killed them all, leaving only one girl alive. Every time the girl returned to visit the remains of the village where her family had been burned, she began to cry. Thanks to his tears, the Sineci natural pools were formed.
