Where to go to the beach in Albania

Albania's most beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters in a country waiting to be discovered. Albania is a favorite destination for tourists who want to go to the beach and visit beautiful beaches. In fact, Albania is bathed in the south by the Ionian Sea the same sea that bathes Beautiful Greece known for its crystal clear sea! Then to the north it is bathed by the waters of the Adriatic Sea which also bathes Montenegro and Croatia.

Valona Beach 

Characterized by a rugged coastline, small sandy shores in unspoiled nature the beach of Vlora is a favorite among tourists traveling to this country. So many positive aspects are noted: the beach of Vlora has both free beaches but also equipped with bathing establishments, moreover, the location where it is located, that is, at the meeting point of the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea, means that in summer there is a pleasant temperature of 25 degrees, which is perfect. And not to be missed, the beautiful waters are perfect for doing activities such as water sports and snorkeling. 

Gjipe Beach

This beach is located between the towns of Vuno and Ilias about 50 km from the Greek border. To get to this beach, tourists should equip themselves with comfortable shoes because it is reached via a dirt path that makes it even more picturesque. 

Pulëbardha Beach

This beach is most famous for its location, being under a cliff overlooking the sea. Also known as the seagull beach, it is part of the beaches of Saranda, which is located north of the island of Corfu.  

Grama Beach 

In addition to being a wonderful cove, Grama Beach has a special feature: on the rocks bordering it are carvings dating back to the 4th century B.C. Many of them are prayers written in ancient Greek addressed to the deities; in fact, this bay is said to have been a maritime sanctuary. 

Shëngjin Beach

This 7-km beach from the town of Alessio is famous for having 300 days of sunshine a year but also and especially for its sand. Shëngjin sand has a high iodine content with curative value for many diseases. 

Palasë Beach

Famous because Caesar landed with his legionnaires in this bay in the 2nd century BC. This famous bay is located between Drymades Beach and Llogara Pass. This place is perfect if you are looking for silence and relaxation!

The Blue Eye

One of Albania's most famous destinations, the Blue Bay is sure to make you have fond memories of your vacation. 

It is a karst spring that generates a small lake on the surface with crystal clear to deep blue waters, named so because from its colors it resembles a human eye. The depth of this small pool is unknown to us but it is said to exceed 50 meters. Important: remember that bathing in the blue eye is forbidden.
