Day 1: Tirana/Durres to Berat

At 09:00, set out on an adventure from Tirana to Durres, an "Open Book of History" that documents the last 25 centuries. Visit the Medieval Market and the Roman Amphitheater to learn more about its rich history. Leave Durres and travel to Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its architecture in the Ottoman style and diverse cultural influences. Get lost in the three neighborhoods of Berat: "Kala," "Mangalem," and "Gorica." Discover the "Onufri" Museum of Iconography, and the Orthodox Monastery, "Dormitory of Saint Mary". Optional: Enjoy a wine tasting at one of the nearby wineries in Berat.

Touring Berat and The Castle of Berat

Discover the "City of Many Windows" with a visit to the Castle of Berat, the oldest neighborhood, inhabited mainly by a Christian Orthodox population. Explore the Ethnographic Museum of Berat, offering insights into everyday life in Ottoman-style architecture. Wander through the picturesque Mangalem and Gorica neighborhoods, each reflecting a distinct architectural evolution shaped by history.

Day 2: Berat to Saranda and Butrint

Leave Berat behind, and drive to Saranda, a coastal gem on the Albanian Riviera. Enjoy a brief stop to absorb the scenic beauty before heading to the Archaeological Park of Butrint. Explore the UNESCO-listed ancient Greek and Roman city, experiencing the golden antiquity. Take in panoramic views of the Three Islands of Ksamil. Continue through Llogara to Dhermi, a popular tourist destination with well-known beaches.

Visiting Himara & Himara Castle

Proceed to Himara, a municipality nestled between the Ceraunian Mountains and the Albanian Ionian Sea Coast. Explore the old town built around the Himara Castle, featuring ancient walls dating back to the 5th-4th centuries BC. Spend the night in Saranda.

Day 3: Blue Eye and Gjirokaster 

After having breakfast at the hotel, depart to explore Gjirokaster and the Blue Eye. Marvel at the natural wonder of the "Blue Eye" water springs.

A Commercial Walk through the History - The Traditional Bazaar of Gjirokastra

Arrive in Gjirokastra, where history comes to life in the bustling Traditional Bazaar. Dating from the 17th Century, this district was the heart of the city during the Ottoman era, buzzing with trade and social activities. Immerse yourself in the restored charm, with local vendors sharing tales and offering souvenirs.

The Castle of Gjirokaster and Typical House Visit

Explore the Gjirokastra Fortress atop the hill, known as the Crown of the City. Dive into the Legend of Argjiro and absorb the breathtaking views of the stone city below.
