While in Durres keep in mind to visit the Roman amphitheater, the Byzantine city walls, right next to the amphitheater. There is also the Venetian tower that was built to reinforce the city castle by the Republic of Venice. Other attractions to visit while in the city are: the Church of Saint Astius, Archeological Museum, the Great Mosque of Durres. Among the attractions of the region, we can mention the Cape of Rodon.
