Tirana region rises in a valley surrounded by Mount Dajt to the east, the hills of Kerrabe and Sauk to the south, the Vaqarr hills, and Yzberisht to the west and Kamze to the north. Tirana region consists of 5 municipalities: Kamez, Kavaje, Rrogozhine, Vore, and of course, the capital Tirana.
If you are visiting Tirana city you shouldn’t miss the Skanderbeg Square, the Palace of Culture, the National Opera, the National Bank, the Ethem Bey Mosque, and the Clock Tower, the Pyramid of Tirana, Tirana Castle, Toptani street, the New Bazaar, Ish-Blloku district, and the Artificial Lake. Besides the attractions of the main city, this region has a lot more to offer. In the region are two more castles to visit, the Castle of Preze and the Castle of Petrela. As a peaceful religious place, here you will find mosques and churches as well.
